My babies have turned into little men!

It is really amazing has quickly these little dudes have grown in just the last month! We have seen such great progress with both of them and we couldn't be more proud of them. In just two weeks these dudes will be eight months old - that's three quarters of a year! I've already started thinking ahead to what we'll be doing to celebrate the Big One! It makes me shake my head in amazement thinking my little babies will be one in just four months.

Killian has been wearing his helmet for three weeks now and his progress has been shocking to us all, including his doctor. We originally expected him to wear it for eight weeks, but the doctor told us that his progress has been so amazing, as long as he continues to grow this way, we are only looking at six weeks instead of eight. And his physical therapist is equally as proud of him. She told me and another physical therapist that he has had the best progress of any patient she has had AND within the shortest amount of time. In the past six weeks he has gone from barely being able to holding up his head to propping himself up on his arms for quite some time, sitting for a good amount of time on his own, and now he has done something quite amazing. For the last few days he has been getting up on his hands and knees and rocking himself back and forth. Just yesterday, he learned how to reach his arm toward a toy and rock himself forward until he can reach it or until his whole body heaves forward. It is quite amazing to watch. He really is the happiest baby, always smiling and laughing and talking.

Graham has been busy being Graham. That little boy is something else. The good news is that for the last month he has been sleeping through the night! It has been so wonderful for me and Clint to actually get to sleep all the way through the night. They both sleep from 830pm to around 830am. Sometimes they'll get up as early as seven something, but I don't go into their room until after eight. I'll hear them talking in their cribs or sometimes they'll just fall back asleep. Killian had been sleeping twelve hours since about four and a half months, but Graham was still waking up once or twice a night. Ohh . . . . that child. Graham is filled with energy and is still very high maintenance but just the cutest thing ever. He too is a very happy baby but he has a huge thirst for attention. He is still a major drama queen as well. I tell him all the time that if he wasn't so cute, I'd send him back for a refund.

I have finally accomplished getting them to take both morning and afternoon naps in their cribs, which is a big help for me. They enjoy spending time in their jumperoos but have really been loving being on the ground. While Killian has become quite good about moving around and learning to crawl, Graham pulls his whole body across the floor. It's quite funny because sometimes it looks like his legs don't move at all, and that he's only using his arms to maneuver. They both eat well. Killian will eat anything and will eat it all up. In fact, he gets super excited when he sees his bottle or a bowl of food. Graham loves solid food but sometimes feeding him a bottle is a huge battle. He also hates eating meat. As a vegetarian mom, it's hard for me to fight with him to eat it when I'd rather him not eat it at all.

We're really looking forward to our first family Thanksgiving and Christmas. It will be a busy next two months. With the holidays, my Grad School graduation, family visiting from California, as well as all of Killian's doctor's appointments and Clint's work schedule - it seems like we'll never get a moment to take a breath. But it is all very worth it. We could not be happier with our two little blessings.
